DIY: Red Tinted Tail Lights On The Cheap!!

Materials Needed:

 

» Testors 3oz, Candy Apple Red Spray Tint

» Testors 3oz, Clear Top Coat Spray

» 1000 Grit Wet/Dry Sandpaper

» Painters/Masking Tape

» Lint Free Cloth

» Metric Socket Set

 
Steps Involved:

 

» Remove Tail Lights

» Wash Away Dirt & Grime

» Lightly Sand Lens' To Be Tinted With 1000 Grit Wet Sandpaper (Sand Wet)

» Avoid Scuffing Black Plastic Frame With Sandpaper

» Wash Lights Again And Allow To Dry

» Mask All Areas You Do Not Want Painted

» Apply Several Light Coats Allowing Each Coat To Dry Before The Next

» Apply Clear Top Coat If Desired

» After Drying Is Complete, Remove Masking

» Reinstall Tail Lights And Enjoy!

 

* Tip: To remove the inner tail lights, you must first remove the srcews holding the licence plate bracket on. The Inner tail lights sit partially behind this bracket.
